FYCC Fun
Tuesday, June 22 from 9:30-10:30am
St. Michael Rec Center

FYCC will be putting on two back-to-back activities for the kids. The fun starts at 9:30, with reading in the park. After listening, each child can choose a FREE book to take home. Swimming

Elm Creek Park

Elm Creek playground renovation is not yet complete. We will go swimming instead. The man-made swimming pond at Elm Creek offers filtered, chlorinated water, a sand beach, changing shelter, concessions and bathroom facilities. The pond is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Fishing Clinic
Wednesday, June 9 from 10am-1:30pm
Bebee Lake

The Minnesota DNR will lead a private fishing clinic for our group at Bebee Lake as part of the MinnAqua program. MinnAqua is a statewide education program designed to teach angling recreation and stewardship as well as the ecology and conservation of aquatic habitats. This program will include education about aquatic wildlife and habitats as well as instructional fishing lessons.

There will be a brief lunch break, so pack something to bring along. This program is a FREE service provided by the DNR. Equipment will be provided. However, each family needs to provide bait and each adult that will be helping with baiting hooks and casting needs to have a fishing license. Meet in the lower rec. center park with your strollers and kids’ bikes. Hit the trails to burn some calories while chatting with other moms. Afterward, let the kids play at the park and chat some more.
